Smith & Wesson discontinued their best-selling M&P 15 Sport this past December, only to be replaced with their upgraded version, the new Sport II. The difference is a forward bolt assist feature and also a dust cover. The rest of the rifle remains the same with a 16-inch carbine barrel with a 1:7 twist, optimal for shooting both .223 Rem. and 5.56mm. The stock is a six-position collapsible version.
The new Sport II features an adjustable A2 front sight tower coupled with a Magpul MBUS folding rear sight. There's one 30-round Magpul PMAG included.
