SLOT TECHNICIAN - CLASS 3 Job Code: Travel Involved: 0-10% Work Schedule: varied Job Type: On Call Average Hours per Week: varied Category: Casino Job Description: The primary responsibility of the Class 3 Technician is to keep all slot machines in proper working order, to minimize downtime on the floor. Job Requirements: Minimum Employment Requirements: 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States, High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards, maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Specific Position Requirements: Must have a minimum five years slot technical experience or have completed gaming tech school. Must have a basic understanding of electronics and electronic equipment associated with gaming and the ability to learn new technology through various media and training from new equipment vendors. Must have complete knowledge of gaming devices and related systems. Must have working knowledge to make machine changes, updates and modifications. Electronics degree or computer training desirable. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to move equipment weighting up to 250 lbs with use of a mechanical lift. Ability to move machine parts and equipment. Ability to see 20/20 or corrected to 20/20. Ability to use hand and power tools safely. Physical ability to access all areas of the property. Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction, work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
