ENGINEER - PAINT SHOP Job Code:   Travel Involved: None Work Schedule: TBD; 7am-3pm Job Type: Full-Time Flex Average Hours per Week: 40 Category: Engineering Job Description: The primary responsibility of an Engineer 4 Painter is to provide painting and general maintenance property-wide. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. Job Requirements: MINIMUM EMPLOYMENT REQUIRMENTS: 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States, High School Diploma or equivalent, ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form, interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts, maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards, maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Must be able to obtain a valid Nevada Driver’s License. SPECIFIC POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 4 years minimum experience as “Journeyman” Painter; personal computer skills and data entry; general maintenance skills, including knowledge using hand tools and electronic equipment; ability to patch dry wall and stucco; ability to use spray equipment; ability to use wallpaper tools; ability to use brushes and rollers; ability to mix and match colors; knowledge of airless spraying procedures and brushing/rolling procedures; knowledge of hazardous chemicals and safety. Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. is required. Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, and be able to access all areas of the property.
