Job Title: Procurement Engineer or Commercial Grade Dedication
Primary Responsibilities:
Develops specifications and performance test requirements to facilitate procurement of parts and equipment for Vital Safety Systems.
Analyzes technical data, designs, preliminary specifications, manufacturing limitations, supplier facilities, and availability of parts and equipment.
Consults with engineering personnel to establish performance criteria and specifications for manufacturing and testing.
Determining material classifications and technical purchasing requirements for nuclear facility parts and components to ensure applicable codes, standards and regulations are established and met identifying and evaluating equivalent replacements.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years' experience, or Associate's Degree and 10 years of related project experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience.
Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to engineering procurement.
Demonstrated experience in federal government procurement procedures, laws, and regulations.
Develop and generate purchase requests, and have a thorough knowledge and understanding of the requirements for commercial grade dedication.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in material and equipment receipt inspection, certificates of conformance, and certified material test reports (CMTRs).
